This presentation will include:
1) An overview of what steps you can take now, both legally and financially, to have the best options to live independently in future retirement years if help eventually is needed because one spouse becomes frail; and
2) An overview of strategies for caregivers who now experience the challenges of dementia or other chronic illness affecting their spouse or parent, and who seek guidance about how to select the right care facility for a loved one, available financial assistance for Veterans, asset preservation options for spouses, essential legal considerations, and other caregiving tips.
